Screw you guys...

...I'm going home. That is what I said about 5 months ago. I checked out of North Carolina, said good bye to the very few friends that we have there, gave away many things that we couldn't bring (oh I wish we still had our blueberry bush), and jumped into a very loaded Ford Escape and DW and I went on a 4000 mile trek across the country. Don't get me wrong, I am very happy that I did it.

I don't think that I could have spent another year in Chapel Hill. "I love it here (NC)", I remember saying to DW, and really believing myself when I said so. But being back in Southern California, I now realize what I was missing - my normalcy.

For example: speed of business, earthquakes, less stoopidity, competent drivers besides DW and I, decent weather, and good college football.

I still miss our friends in North Carolina, and wish that they would move here. Unfortunately, that is up to them, and they have their own lives to live.

Thank you Southern California for being just what I needed. My normalcy so that I can be the best GMTrojan that I can be. Have a great day!
:)

Then mail comes - I get money back because I didn't take all of my sick days while I was a teacher in NC. I just wish that they could have sent it to me earlier, like when we were hurting for cash, and needed it just to survive here. It must have been the slow rate of business in NC that was to blame...
